5-16-25: my first jellyfish dream
I had found a bunch of Jellyfish rarities on YouTube all uploaded by the same channel. More notably, I had found complete archives of weekly video newsletters recorded by the band in the 90s, all consisting of 1 to 2 minutes of footage where they stood in front of a green screen (with wacky backgrounds) and wore silly outfits, like even sillier than usual. There was one where Andy was wearing one of my dresses, or at least one that looked a lot like one of my dresses. He also had a parasol.
There were A LOT of these, all neatly organized in a playlist, there were almost weekly for the entirety of 1990 through 1993. I don't remember what the actual contents of these newsletters were, but I imagine they'd be a lot like their real written newsletters.
I was like "wait, is this some member's official archive channel or something?" But no, it was just some random person. I went on the channel page, and the rest of their uploads were archived livestreams of them playing G3 My Little Pony flash games, like the ones I played as a kid in 2009, and these livestreams were all like 5 hours long. Another Jellyfish-related thing that was in that channel was a fake interview with Andy, which is notable because he hasn't given a public interview since 1994. I'm not sure what "fake" entailed. I don't know if it was like, an AI thing, or fake like the Weird Al fake interviews are fake, or a secret third thing. What matters is that people in the comments thought it was real even though it said FAKE in the title.
Anyway, now I yearn for these silly stupid newsletters that don't exist. RIP dream!Andy, you slayed in my dress.
