OVERVIEW

Despite the hurdles and hardships of being homeless since the age of 15, courtesy of her running away from home, Ty mostly faces her challenges while keeping her chin up so high that her head might as well be stuck in the clouds. To her, this still beats her home life growing up, even if she does miss going to rock shows. But as the drummer in a local metal band, she's now more than delighted to be the one up on stage instead. She tries very hard not to let negativity get to her, even when the exhaustion in her eyes betrays her otherwise bold and energetic behhavior.

BIOGRAPHY

Early Life

Anna Johnson was smitten with her rockstar neighbor Tyler Zamora, so she started following him and his band Silent Temptation around, eventually ascending to groupie status. Not just satisfied with hookups, Anna decided the best way to tie him down would be to have a baby with him. That didn't work, Tyler only saw her as yet another groupie. He and his band moved out of their town and into the big city after their big media break, leaving Anna behind. She named her baby girl after him.

Ty had a hard childhood, mostly from having an emotionally immature lovesick alcoholic mother. Ty was neglected a lot by Anna and often had to face the brunt of her drinking problem. The times where they would bond the most though were during concerts they attended together, which cemented Ty's love for the high-energy, sleazy sounds of 80s glam metal and the subsequent alternative metal current of the 90s. Those concerts she attended with her mom are the childhood memories Ty cherishes the most.

As much as she tried, she wasn't all that popular at school due to her awkward nature and behavioral problems. One day she noticed some kids taunting Suzanne and threatening to beat her up, so Ty went to the rescue and defended her from her bullies. Ty and Suzie became friends, attached at the hip ever since.

Runaway Life

At the age of 15 Ty decided she had enough. She packed her bags, stole money from her mom, called Suzanne up, and they decided to finally run away together. They got a bus ticket to Beach Harbor, where they met fellow runaway Nikki, and set up camp on the edge of town.

One day she met Dennis at the pier. He told her he was in a band and they were looking for a drummer, and they would be holding auditions in a couple days if she was interested. She became the band's drummer because no one else really showed up and she was moderately talented at the drums.

Ty developed a deeper friendship with her band mates, who in return all helped her deal with her situation in various ways. She was repeatedly offered to live in their houses, but she refused every time, saying she just couldn't leave Suzie alone like that. She did visit her friends' houses for dinner quite often, taking leftovers back to her camp to share with Suzie and Nikki.

Suzie did not like this one bit, and would usually tag along on band rehearsals and hangouts, in turn leaving Nikki alone as well. Ty's bandmates didn't really like Suzie either and would try to avoid her when possible. Ty had to start sneaking out of the campsite without Suzie's knowledge, but Suzie would ultimately follow her along.

Death

Ty and Dennis decided to try going on a couple dates, partly because seeing Mitch and Nayeli dating made them feel like they also had to date. They went on a small dinner date the day before Ty's 19th birthday at local diner Rosie's. Ty had to sneak out at midnight to avoid Suzie, but she woke up and followed them anyway. Suzie showed up at Rosie's absolutely fuming, fighting them both and dragging Ty out of the restaurant.

Ty spent the next day away from Suzie, crashing at Mitch's place after her band threw a small party for her. Nikki was invited, Suzie was not, and Ty had decided she was done dealing with Suzie's possessive behavior, planning to pack her bags and finally take the offer her bandmates had laid out for her. That night she went back to her tent to pack her bags but Suzie convinced her to stay again.

The next morning as Ty was getting ready to leave forever Suzie threatened with setting herself on fire if she left. After fighting and trying to wrestle the lighter out of Suzie's hands the fire started spreading, killing them both.

RELATIONSHIPS

Suzie Monaghan

To say that Ty and Suzie are attached at the hip would be an understatement. From helping Ty download songs onto her MP3 player to teaching her how to fish and light a fire so they don't starve to death, Suzie has been Ty's lifeline more often than not, to the point where they don't know what to do or how to act when the other is not around. Ever since their first meeting as kids, Ty has always felt the need to protect Suzie, even when in reality Suzie has the demeanor of a rabid raccoon and could protect them both better than Ty ever could, but it's the thought that counts. For the greater part of ten years, their bond has been unbreakable and has only strengthened since running away together.

Ever since she met her bandmates and other friends, Ty has noticed how Suzie doesn't get along with them at all, paired with an increase in her clingy behavior and snappy attitude. But as she is oblivious to a fault, Ty never took notice of the fact that Suzie had a massive, unhealthy crush on her, and how all this change in behavior stemmed from jealousy. All these tensions escalate until Ty can't stand being around Suzie anymore and decides to leave her for good, but even then, she can't.

Nikki Meyer

Ty and Nikki get along amicably, but even then they don't talk a lot or know each other super well despite living in extremely close proximity. More than anything, Ty takes pity on Nikki for her younger age and her past as a foster kid turned runaway. Most of the time, Ty tends to forget Nikki is there, trusting that Suzie will keep an eye on her when she's off playing with her band. Which, Suzie never does.
