The soundtrack for The Sims 2 is awesome! I made this section to gush about my favorite songs and radio stations.
The official soundtrack of the base game was made by Mark Mothersbaugh. By that, I mean everything except the radio station songs. The radio station songs were made by various studio musicians hired by EA.
Starting in the University expansion pack, EA started contacting bands and musicians, both indie and from major labels, to have them record their songs in Simlish.
Many artists recorded Simlish versions of their songs, and the game has helped me discover many cool songs and artists.
